 Job Description

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Hyperbaric and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our outpatient team.

This opportunity includes outpatient management of general pulmonary disorders and well as management of sleep medicine.  This position will also entail some outpatient procedures such as thoracentesis, pulmonary function testing, CPAP compliance ,mask fitting and wound care.  Ideal candidate will preferably have a strong background with respiratory services.

Specific Job Duties:

  1. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday
  2. Provide patient care in an outpatient setting with minimal supervision for selected patients with pulmonary diseases
  3. Able to conduct pulmonary function testing in clinic (training can be provided)
  4. Perform outpatient procedures with or without supervision
  5. Provide teaching in an ambulatory setting for inhaler techniques
  6. Management of Non-Invasive and Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation
  7. Will be a part of quality improvement conferences
  8. May be required to complete and maintain CITI training to participate in clinical research

 Job Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of a national accredited Advanced Practice Provider program.
  • Must be a certified Advanced Practice Provider and licensed by the corresponding California Board.
  • Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Must obtain Institutional Review Board certification within 6 months of hiring.
  • Previous experience performing ultrasound-guided procedures is preferred, but not required.
