Description |
In Dallas, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide comprehensive healthcare to infants and children in accordance with the established standard principles of medical practice.
Job Overview:
- Examines children regularly to assess their growth and development
- Treats children with minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns
- Collects, records, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, or examination results
- Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, education, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury to infant and children
- Monitors patients conditions and progress and reevaluates treatment as necessary
- Advises patients, parents or guardians, and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Refers patients to appropriate recognized medical specialist as necessary
- Adheres to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times
- Utilize the center’s Electronic Health Records for timely documentation of all patient related care
- Collaborates and acts as a supervising physician for assigned allied health professionals as needed by the Health Center to provide effective interdisciplinary health care services and assist in their professional development
- Participates in quality improvement projects including peer review, adheres to QI policies and procedures, especially chart audit requirements

Requirements |
Qualifications:
- Doctor in Pediatric Medicine (M.D.)
- Board Certified in primary health care Pediatric specialty
- Licensed in the State of Texas (unrestricted)
- Completion of Pediatric Residency at an accredited healthcare institution
- Continuing medical education units
- Current Health Care Provider CPR Certification
- Must have current DEA and State of Texas Public Safety Registration
