Description |
In Kingsville, TX: The Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatrician responsible for the delivery of quality medical care to patients of the health center and functions as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team within the scope of his or her medical practice. The Pediatrician Physician is responsible for providing direct patient care including history review, health education, physical exam, counseling, diagnosis and treatment according to protocols, and meeting productivity goals to patients from birth until the age of 21 years of age. The Pediatric Physician will provide clinical direction and supervision to midlevel providers and oversee the general patient care of his/her department.
Job Overview:
- Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations on assigned patients; assesses and treats acute/chronic medical problems and provides direct patient care to the pediatric patient population
- Cooperates and helps to coordinate the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
- Documents progress notes on patient electronic charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed; maintains other records as required in a timely manner.
- Develops and implements a treatment plan.
- Signing or completing a prescription as authorized by Chapter 157, Texas Occupations Code
- Makes appropriate referrals
- Provides supervision of assigned mid-levels
