Description |
In Alice, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Dentist to deliver quality dental care to patients of the Center. Looking for a candidate who is diligent, team-oriented works well with patients, able to maintain a professional attitude and is consistently motivated to succeed.
Job Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Dental Director, the Dentist is responsible for administering, maintaining, and expanding a program of primary (and in selected cases, secondary) and preventative dental care in a community health center setting.
- Examines individuals requesting care, diagnoses dental/oral conditions, prescribes and carries out, or directs others in carrying out, appropriate dental/oral treatment
- Refers individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines
- Records patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient's dental record so that the dental record accurately and completely reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient, and the care or treatment provided
- Educates individuals in the nature of oral health related conditions and in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention

Requirements |
Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree
- Active and unrestricted Texas dental license
- Board Certification required
- Two years of post-graduate experience required
Bilingual in Spanish and English Preferred But Not Required!
