 Practice Information
Number of physicians in group: 20
History of group / practice:

In 1994, a group of Asian American women established a non-profit. Their dream was to one day establish a community health center that would provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate health care to low-income and uninsured Asians in Houston. As an all-volunteer, part-time health center, this clinic provided basic primary care services to a limited number of patients once a month for only four hours. During Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the clinic received recognition for providing services to over three thousand evacuees with the support of the community.

Today, this clinic is professionally staffed as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The clinic’s caring and dedicated staff speaks numerous languages and provides culturally and linguistically competent, high-quality care to all, regardless of ability to pay.
