Primary Care Medical Director in Scenic Central Maine MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Maine is looking for a Primary Care Medical Director to develop and maintain quality and cost effective healthcare within the MGH Primary Care Health facilities and their communities. As a Physician leader you will support the operation and transformation of Primary Care in the Kennebec Valley. THis will be and opportunity to lead seven practices and start and 8th as part of the Primary Care foundation of a coordinated system of care.You will report directly to the Medical Director of Physician Practices. regarding clinical issues and activities related to the delivery of medical care to MGH patients. You will be an integral part of the management team, responsible for the creation and implementation of our strategic plan, budget development and management, creating and setting policy and procedures, as well as direct oversight of clinical quality initiatives, and overseeing annual reviews for all Practice Medical Directors and dealing with day-to-day practice issues affecting providers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Primary Care Physician who has a proven track record of leadership and is creative, futuristic, and supportive of aligning patient-centered care with high quality. Centrally located in lakes region, we are a short drive away from ski resorts and the beautiful Maine Coast.
