 Job Description

In Wimberley, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to report to the Director of Family Medicine regarding administrative, provider relations and other day to day guidance. Assigned to supervising physician under the Texas Medical Board for medical consults and abides by appropriate clinical protocols.  Provides quality, comprehensive out-patient primary health care services to the Center’s Family Medicine patients of all ages.

 Job Overview:

  • Assures continuity of care by providing medical services on a timely basis as per Clinic schedule within the Center’s scope of practice and the Nurse Practitioners training
  • Refers patients for appropriate specialty care services, lab and x-ray and any other ancillary services that are appropriate for patient’s management and care consulting with supervising physician as needed. 
  • Trains and mentors’ medical students and clinical support staff engaged in activities and procedures, as appropriate. 
  • EHR: NextGen

 Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas required
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) and Board certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience required

Verbal and written English and Spanish Bilingual preferred but not required
