 Job Description

In Dallas, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Physician to provide quality preventative and primary medical care to patients in a community health setting. Staff Physician must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients.

Must be able to arrange for hospitalizations as necessary. Staff physician will be required to supervise PAs, NPs, LVNs, RNs, MAs, and serve as preceptor, when necessary. Some after-hours on call work may be required. Participation on at least one center Compliance Team is mandatory. Must be able to utilize electronic medical records. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree required, completion of approved post-graduate training, and at least one (1) year of service in a community health center.

Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas and Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine required. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions required. Emergency Response training and current CPR Certificate and BLS or ACLS Certificate required. Must not have any constraints from the Federal or State offices especially regarding Medicare and/or Medicaid. Fluent in Spanish preferred. Excellent benefits package available.
