Maine Medical Partners Neurology has immediate full-time openings for Board Certified/Eligible General Neurologists to join a well-established neurology division of 19 physicians, including 5 Pediatric Neurologists, 8 nurse practitioners, and an on-site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab.  Subspecialty training in neuromuscular disorders, clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy or MS also desired.  Reasonable call, with the majority of hospital duties at Maine Medical Center covered by our Neurohospitalist program. 

Maine Medical Partners Neurology is the premiere site for neurology care in Maine since 1988.  The practice works closely with our Neuroscience Institute to further develop Neuroscience Centers of Excellence in supporting initiatives of our stroke, epilepsy and MS programs.  Responsibilities include education of medical students and residents, and opportunities exist to pursue research through the Maine Medical Center Research Institute.

Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships, and integration with Tufts University Medical School.   Candidates will have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students.

The successful candidate will be employed by Maine Medical Partners (MMP), a subsidiary of Maine Medical Center and Maine’s largest multi-specialty group.  MMP serves the health care needs of patients throughout Maine and Northern New England.  This high quality team of more than 500 physicians and 200 advanced practice professionals provides a wide range of hospital based, primary, specialty, and sub-specialty adult and pediatric care delivered throughout a network of 30 locations across the State and acts as a regional referral network.
