MaineGeneral Health is proud to be Maine’s third largest health care system and a great place for patients and families to receive care, people to work and physicians to practice. Our new, state-of-the-art, 192-bed regional hospital is slated to open in November 2013. The $312 million project — the largest hospital project ever undertaken in Maine— will consolidate inpatient hospital services in Augusta and Waterville. In 2014, a $10 million renovation to the Thayer Campus in Waterville will be complete which will provide a comprehensive array of outpatient services, including a newly renovated outpatient surgery center and 24/7 emergency services.
MaineGeneral also offers state-of-the-art cancer care at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, as well as long-term care services, a network of more than 25 primary and specialty physician practices, home health and hospice care, substance abuse and mental health services and a host of community outreach and prevention programs.
