Carilion Clinic is searching for a Pediatric Endocrinologist for Carilion Children's Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia which serves as the tertiary referral center for 185,000 children in southwestern Virginia and provides a full range of pediatric services including Level 1 Trauma Pediatric ER, but excluding ECMO, open heart and transplants. Our full-service 92-bed Children's Hospital provides universal care and intensive care to neonatal, pediatric and adolescent patients and is the second largest neonatal intensive care unit in Virginia and the only pediatric intensive care unit and dedicated pediatric unit in southwest Virginia. The hospital includes an 8-bed PICU, a 24-bed inpatient unit and a 60-bed NICU/intermediate nursing and is part of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, an 703-bed teaching/tertiary, Level 1 Trauma and Academic Center serving nearly 1 million in southwestern Virginia.

Join an established practice with two pediatric endocrinologists and a full time nurse practitioner providing outpatient care and inpatient consultations for patients on the pediatric hospitalist service with the support of the Pediatric Hospitalists and Intensivist Services Program and working closely with CDEs from Carilion Diabetes Management, an active and growing ADA accredited program. Carilion Children's includes multiple pediatric subspecialities with staff pediatricians and intensivists providing primary management while pediatric endocrinology provides consultative services. Shared call coverage that is primarily remote consultative call during the evening and weekends.

Candidates must be ABMS/AOA Board Certified in Pediatrics and fellowship trained in Pediatric Endrocrinology. Candidates must also possess interest and enthusiasm for clinical service and teaching pediatric residents and medical students. Research activity is encouraged and supported at the new Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine & Research Institute.
