 Job Description

In Nacogdoches, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time BILINGUAL Licensed Professional Counselor to provide behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults and families with a focus on Substance Use Disorders (SUD), including Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Mental Health (MH) issues.   This position will lead the SUD-MH team whose goal is to provide community education and awareness along with patient-focused integrated mental health services within a Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH) environment.

Job Overview:

  • Provide assessment, consultation, and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders.
  • Teach patients, families, and staff care, prevention, and treatment enhancement techniques.
  • Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
  • Assist in the detection of "at risk" patients and development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
  • Infrequently, provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health clients.
  • Translates in Spanish between non-Spanish speaking staff and Spanish-speaking patients, as requested.
  • EHR: Centricity (Athena)

 Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work from program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), licensed in the State of Texas required
     
  • Minimum of 1 year post graduate experience required
Bilingual in Spanish and English required!
