In Nacogdoches, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time BILINGUAL Licensed Professional Counselor to provide behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults and families with a focus on Substance Use Disorders (SUD), including Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Mental Health (MH) issues. This position will lead the SUD-MH team whose goal is to provide community education and awareness along with patient-focused integrated mental health services within a Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH) environment.
Job Overview:
- Provide assessment, consultation, and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders.
- Teach patients, families, and staff care, prevention, and treatment enhancement techniques.
- Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
- Assist in the detection of "at risk" patients and development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
- Infrequently, provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health clients.
- Translates in Spanish between non-Spanish speaking staff and Spanish-speaking patients, as requested.
