ThedaCare, an integrated health system, located in Northeastern Wisconsin, seeks a BC/BE General Surgeon for its new London location. ThedaCare is a nationally recognized healthcare system that excels in quality outcomes and is the employer of choice in the area for both physicians and staff. Physicians at ThedaCare enjoy a collegial atomosphere, supportive of both primary care physicians and specialists.
This position will partner with a dedicated and highly qualified medical staff including mid-level providers. ThedaCare Physicians - New London is comprised of ten primary care providers and one general surgeon/general practice physician. This general surgeon is retired from the practice of surgery to focus on primary care.
There is one independent surgeon in the community that splits his cases between the New London Family Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, Wisconsin. The community has a documented need for two surgeons.

New London Family Medical Center is a 25-bed community hospital providing general acute care to New London and nearby rural communities in Outagamie and Waupaca counties.
The hospital, which has been in operation since 1928, offers general medical care including Inpatient/Outpatient Surgery, 24-hour Emergency Department, Rehabilitation Services, Birth Center, and Transitional Care.
For the convenience of patients, ThedaCare Physicians - New London is located adjacent to New London Family Medical Center. The medical office building integrates offices for family physicians, visiting specialists and new hospital services.

The medical group occupies a 15,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art facility that is connected
to New London Family Medical Center. This $8 million medical office building,
completed in 2003, houses ThedaCare primary care/surgical practice on the first
floor and a specialty clinic on the second floor. Visiting specialists include those
trained in orthopedics, pulmonary medicine, urology, neurosurgery, ENT, podiatry,
vascular surgery, pain management, gastroenterology, oncology, ophthalmology,
cardiology, neurology, and gynecology. The hospital and clinic are exapnding 14,000 sq ft on the second floor to accomodate a state of the art surgical suite, endoscopy suite and a new special procedures suite with optimal patient prep and recovery space. The expansion also allows for added rooms in the speciality clinic and more space for patients and physicians in the primary care clinic. The expansion will be complete in the fall of 2009.
