Carilion Clinic is seeking an ABMS-Board Certified/Board Eligible Musculoskeletal Imaging Radiologist to join the Radiology Department in their radiology section located on the campus of Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Located in the Christiansburg/Blacksburg region of southwest Virginia with a population of 185,000, the area is home to Virginia Tech and Radford Universities, and boasts a stable base of business and industry. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains along Virginia's Technology Corridor, the region is affordable, safe, progressive, and strategically located on the Interstate-81 corridor, just 30 minutes from the Appalachian Trail. The New River Valley area offers an unparalleled combination of city convenience, beautiful scenery, and an active outdoor environment. With a lively arts community and an abundance of cultural activities, there's plenty to do inside as well as outside.
Aspects of the practice include all modalities except angiography. Mammography not required. Equipment includes:
- MR: 1.5T and 3T Siemens Units
- CT: 64-slice Siemens with cardiac package, Two 40-slice Siemens with interventional package
- U/S: 4 Phillips units
- 2 Fluoro rooms, 4 Radiographic rooms
- Nuclear Medicine: 2 Nuclear/Spect CT units
- Pet/CT: Mobile 2 days/week
- PACs, Powerscribe, EPIC
Minimum Qualifications include:
- ABMS-BC/BE in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology with MSK Fellowship Training
- If board eligible, must have plan in place to sit for Boards
- Active and unencumbered medical license with eligibility for licensure in Virginia
- Competent in all aspects of diagnostic radiology to include image-guided procedures or willingness to learn
- Team player
- Articulate communicator
