Description |
In Eagle Pass, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to be responsible for providing high quality, comprehensive in-patient and out-patient primary medical care services to the patients of the health center.
Job Overview:
- Develops a panel of patients by providing compassionate comprehensive quality care
- Explains all treatments, procedures, prescriptions and lab results to patient thoroughly
- Consults with other physicians and health care practitioners about each patients’ specific needs
- Complies with in-service requirements and attends mandatory meetings
- Promotes patients’ self-management and empowers patients/families to achieve maximum levels of wellness, independence and self-care

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine and residency training
- Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas

This facility is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center providing primary health care services to both insured and uninsured patients in a bilingual, bicultural community since 1973. Our tri-county service area encompasses Maverick, Val Verde, and Kinney counties, is located in Southwest Texas on the U.S. Mexico Border, and serves the cities of Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and Brackettville, Texas. The center maintains eight medical clinic sites and offers Pediatric, OB/GYN, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Podiatry and Dental Services. In addition, our centers offer in-house services such as Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Family Planning, WIC, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.

It has two International Bridges across the United States-Mexican border from its Sister City of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

Higher learning consists of a branch of South West Texas Junior College and a branch of Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College out of Uvalde, Texas. There are also excellent medical and financial services available.
