ADULT HOSPITALIST OPPORTUNITIES

Maine Medical Partners Hospital Medicine is seeking full-time, BC Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians for Hospitalist opportunities within the MaineHealth system.

Our primary Hospitalist site is Maine Medical Center, the flagship hospital for the MaineHealth system. Maine Medical Center (MMC) is an academic medical center with 637 licensed beds and is the state's leading tertiary care hospital, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and an integral part of Tufts University Medical School, and candidates will have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.

We are looking for candidates interested in regular hospitalist shifts; nocturnists; and in addition those with a particular interested in oncology.

We are also offering positions for individuals working at Stephens Memorial Hospital in combination with MMC, or full time at Stephens. These positions will provide interested candidates with the unique opportunity of spending a portion of their clinical time at Stephens Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital recognized by the Leapfrog Group in 2009 as one of the top three rural hospitals in the nation.

Stephens Memorial Hospital is located in scenic Norway, an hour from Portland and just 25 miles from nearby ski resorts offering spectacular skiing in the winter and hiking/biking during the summer, the White Mountains National Forest just west of the Oxford Hills, and a multitude of local lakes, rivers and nearby coastline offering splendid water-sporting activities. Stephens is one of the teaching sites for the Tufts University Medical School program, with medical students living and working on site each year.

Candidates will be joining Maine Medical Partners, an organization within Maine Medical Center, Maine's largest multi-specialty medical group serving the healthcare needs of patients locally and throughout northern New England. This high quality team of more than 400 physicians and 150 advanced practice professionals provides a wide range of hospital based, primary, specialty, and sub-specialty adult and pediatric care delivered throughout a network of 30 locations across the State and acts as a regional referral network.
