 Job Description

ThedaCare Orthopedics is a well-established hospital employed group with multiple campuses in Northeast, Wisconsin.  Orthopedic trauma is located at ThedaClark Medical Center and is covered by five physicians including two fellowship trained trauma orthopedic surgeons.  This is a cohesive group of physicians that offer a supportive practice environment.  The team is seeking a senior resident who will be completing an orthopedic trauma fellowship or a BC/BE orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training.  There is an opportunity for a productive elective practice if desired.

  • Theda Clark has a dedicated orthopedic trauma operating room from 0700 – 1200 Monday – Friday

  • Approximately 90% of trauma cases are blunt.

    ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah: has overlooked the waters of Lake Winnebago for more than 100 years. Major programs for this progressive, 182 bed hospital include:

    • The Eye Center offers patients the latest in laser correction surgery.
    • The Alyward Surgery Center is an on-site outpatient surgery center with four surgical suites, two procedure rooms, and a cystoscopy room.
    • Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit: 12 bed unit with  24/7 staffing and an inpatient psychiatrist hospitalist.  The unit is currently under construction and by Fall 2014 will have 19 beds with a dedicated "Psychiatric Intensive Care" area as well as detox beds.
    • Also attached to Theda Clark is:The Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.  Although not staffed by ThedaCare, there is a strong partnership.  Children's has a regional level III neonatal intensive care nursery whose affiliated medical staff includes a perinatologist, a pediatrician, and a neonatologist.

    In addition to all of the above amenities, COLLABORATIVE CARE, ThedaCares propriety innovation of inpatient hospital care is employed at ThedaCare Regional Medical Centers in Appleton & Neenah:

    • This model, involves a core care team, comprised of a nurse, physician and pharmacist (supported by therapists and other clinicians) working side-by-side to care for every patient from the moment of admission until discharge.
