Be part of establishing a new practice to include inpatient consultations with the support of pediatric hospitalists and intensivists. On site outpatient/inpatient EEG capabilities with video EEG monitoring available. Share call from home with 2 other Child Neurologists in the community. Other hospital based pediatric physicians include: General Pediatrics, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Neonatology, Surgery, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Hematology & Oncology, Psychiatry, Allergy, and Developmental Pediatrics.

We seek candidates who possess leadership skills and experience in program development, with interests in research and teaching within our GME programs at the new Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, slated to open Fall 2010 as well as the anticipted Pediatric residency program where planning is in progress.

Candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatrics or Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology. Board Certification in Epilepsy is preferred.
