 Job Description

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Surgery, has an immediate need for an Acute Care Surgeon, BC/BE in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about a teaching position in a collegial, multidisciplinary, faith-based environment.

We are a very busy, ACS-verified, Adult and Pediatric Level I trauma center in the Inland Empire region of Southern California.  Our catchment and referral area includes San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono, and Inyo counties with a population of more than 4 million people and tremendous diversity.  We see approximately 3000 major traumas annually and perform approximately 100-120 operative cases per month.  We are heavily involved in resident teaching and anticipate a GME-approved fellowship in Surgical Critical Care to begin July 1, 2021.  We are heavily involved in research at the institutional and multi-institutional level.

Beginning in May 2021, LLUMC will move to a new, state-of-the-art hospital with 96 intensive-care beds, 64 progressive-care beds, and 160 acute-care beds.  The new facility will have 20 advanced operating rooms including robotic surgical capability and two hybrid operating rooms.
