Carilion Clinic has an opening for an experienced Hospitalist, residency trained and ABMS/AOA-BC in Internal Medicine or residency trained and ABFM-BC in Family Medicine.
Join a collegial team of four physicians and one physician extender to help expand a strong hospitalist service at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, a state-of-the-art 146-bed regional medical center with a medical staff of over 325 physicians serving 185K in southwest Virginia's New River Valley region. Our program focuses on quality patient care in a community hospital setting. Home to Virginia Tech and Radford University, the region is affordable, safe, progressive and just minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail.
Practice Highlights:
Block schedule with built in vacation time
Some night duty required
Admitting/consulting/rounding on medicine patients
both on floor and in ICU
Specialty and subspecialty support services from
diverse medical staff
Average of 12-16 patients to round on per day
EMR
