Carilion Internal Medicine-Westlake is searching for a BE/BC General Internist to join another physician in an outpatient practice. Take over an established practice and enjoy practicing Monday thru Friday 8 AM-5 PM with no weekend work. Take call from home which is very light, 1:2. The practice is further enhanced by computerized medical records, centralized patient registration and billing. The practice has xray and limited lab with access to a full lab within a mile at Carilion Urgent Care-Westlake.
Carilion Internal Medicine- Westlake is one of 85 practice sites with Carilion Clinic, the largest not for profit integrated health system in southwestern Virginia. Carilion has 8 hospitals, 8 residency and 3 fellowship programs that are affiliated with the University of Virginia and Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Carilion is embarking upon a bold initiative to convert its traditional healthcare system into a physician-run clinic model similar to other non-university academic centers, with an emphasis on research and subspecialty training. The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is opening Fall 2010 on the main campus of Carilion Clinic in Roanoke.
