Carilion Clinic headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia, is searching for an ACGME residency trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction to join a section of 6 highly productive surgeons in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Carilion Clinic. The department consists of over 40 physicians representing all subspecialties of Orthopaedics. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials as well as a commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. This position offers the opportunity to step into a busy and highly regarded total joint/adult reconstruction service performing approximately 2000 arthroplasties per year. Surgeries are performed at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703-bed academic/tertiary care center with a busy Level 1 Trauma program with full support  by an orthopaedic trauma and fracture service with 4 dedicated orthopaedic traumatologists. Enjoy working with 2 Adult Reconstruction fellows as well as Orthopaedic residents from the University of Virginia who have five, 10-week rotations in Roanoke during the third and fourth years of their training. The position includes an academic appointment at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine as well as research opportunities and support with the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute in Roanoke.
