Carilion Clinic is seeking an ABMS/AOA-BE/BC Dermatologist to join 8 other faculty in the Department of Medicine, Section of Dermatology. The current practice offers medical/general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, Mohs surgery, and dermatopathology in an academic setting that includes an ACGME accredited dermatology residency program. The ideal applicant should have a strong interest in medical/ general dermatology and enjoy teaching and working with residents. A pulsed dye laser, Palomar icon cynosure platform with numerous handpieces (ND:YAG, er:YAG, IPL, and fractional non-ablative), blue light units, narrow band ultraviolet light units, and a hand and foot unit are available.
The position is located at Carilion Clinic Riverside Center across the street from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM), Fralin Biomedical Research Institute and the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The hospital is a 763-bed teaching/tertiary care referral center and one of the largest and busiest Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia. Research interests and collaboration with the research institute are supported.
