Carilion Clinic headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia has an excellent employment opportunity for an experienced Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty interest and fellowship training in sports medicine. This opportunity is directed to a sports medicine physician with interest in participating in Carilion's Orthopaedic Department's growth and care plan in providing orthopaedic sports services to universities, high schools and recreational sports athletics in Southwest Virginia. Specific interest in candidates with administrative and business management experience preferred.
Additional training and/or clinical experience with hip arthroscopy required.
Must have general Orthopaedics experience. Will be required to take an average of 1 – 2 nights of general unassigned and/or trauma call per month.
Department provides Orthopaedic subspecialty support with local subspecialty Orthopaedic clinics and comprehensive subspecialty support and Level 1 trauma backup
Faculty appointment and teaching opportunity at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
Orthopeadic resident teaching.
Research interests will be supported.
