Carilion Clinic is seeking board eligible or board certified emergency medicine trained physicians or board certified family medicine physicians with at least 2 years of ED experience for Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital, a 25-bed acute care critical access facility located in Lexington, Virginia. ED volume is 16,000 annually mostly medicine related with some Peds. Opportunity also available for a Medical Director, qualified candidates must have leadership experience including administrative and personnel responsibilities. Carilion offers a sophisticated network with electronic medical records, PACS Imaging, and web based scheduling. The hospital provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services specializing in imaging, surgical, and therapy services. Transfers available to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with Level 1 Trauma located 45 minutes away.
Lexington, Virginia, is located on I-81 in the central part of the Shenandoah Valley of southwest Virginia, 45 minutes north of Roanoke, and equal distance to Charlottesville, VA, home of University of Virginia.
