 Job Description

In Dallas, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Overview:

  • Provide routine primary care, urgent ambulatory, patient education and coordination of behavioral health services.
  • Practice medicine within license and training; diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the human body.
  • Examine patients utilizing all types of instruments, medical equipment and tests following standard medical procedures/protocols.
  • Complete all meaningful use measures or any other clinical quality metrics (including population health metrics) as defined by CMS, participating insurance health plans and other governing bodies.
  • EHR: Athena

 Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
  • Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Texas
  • 3+ years of direct patient care a plus

Will accept new graduates!

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required

This health center was founded in 1986 and serves the Dallas / Ft. Worth area and surrounding Counties. Its main site has 20,000 square feet of operating capacity and state of the art equipment. A second site is located in the nearby community of Balch Springs, just ten miles southeast of Dallas. The center provides a wide range of services including family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, behavioral health, immunizations, pharmacy, laboratory, social services, family planning, WIC, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, dental, health education, nutrition counseling, and transportation assistance.
