 Job Description

In Eagle Pass, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatric Physician to provide preventative and primary medical care for patients in a warm and friendly community healthcare setting.

Job Overview: 

  • Must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professionals from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients.
  • Provide care to patients aged birth to early adulthood, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments specific to young people.
  • Must possess skills necessary to supervise mid-levels, nurses, ancillary team.
  • Some after-hours on-call duty is expected.
  • Must be able to make arrangements for hospitalization of patients, as needed.
  • Inpatient hospital responsibility at Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center.

 Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Graduation with MD from an accredited medical school and completion of approved post-graduate training.
  • Will consider new graduates, as well as medical students in the final year of residency.
  • J-1 and HIB visa candidates are welcome.
  • Must possess a full and unrestricted Texas medical license prior to employment start date.
  • Must be Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
