Healthcare is available at the Medical Center for children and adults with a focus on establishing a medical home for comprehensive healthcare. Services include preventive care, well-child and well-adult exams, chronic disease management, family planning, prenatal care, education, and immunizations. Treatment is available for a wide range of acute and chronic physical, mental and social health conditions such as infectious diseases, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The Medical Center has a long history of providing expert specialty care for HIV/AIDS including disease management and treatment adherence. The clinical team includes physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, certified medical assistants, and other professionals who provide quality, affordable healthcare regardless of ability to pay. Insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and sliding fee patients are accepted.

 Job Description

In Denton, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking an experienced full-time Family Medicine Physician looking to grow into a Medical Director roll.

Job Overview:

  • eClinicalWorks EHR system
  • Call Coverage: Monthly Rotation
  • Posses a strong community health/public health orientation
  • Experience in patient care management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solver with demonstrated analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of comprehensive health care issues
  • Experience or education in HIV and/or infectious diseases preferred
  • This role has the potential to evolve into a Medical Director / Chief Medical Officer position
  • The Chief Medical Officer is the senior physician responsible practicing as a family physician and for the daily management of care within the Medical Centers in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer
  • Work schedule primarily M- F day as well as rotating intermittent Saturday patient clinic schedule, and as patient access requires
  • Looking for someone ready to see patients immediately and own the patient experience!

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of approved post-graduate training
  • Current unrestricted Texas Medical license
  • Must have current DEA and DPS registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions
  • At least 5 years post graduate years preferred

*Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required
