 Job Description

Loma Linda University Department of Medicine and Faculty Medical Group have immediate openings for full-time faculty candidates in the Infectious Diseases Division. Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Infectious Diseases. We welcome the application of Fellows and experienced physicians.

Loma Linda Health is a faith based organization. The candidate is not required to be a member of Loma Linda’s faith tradition, but should understand, respect, and support the mission and vision of Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Antimicrobial Stewardship

  • 0.5 FTE position combined with 0.5 FTE Transplant or 0.5 FTE General ID, Employee Health, or outpatient clinic emphasis
  • Clinical consults
  • Patients on restricted drugs, those exceeding allowed duration, those with a history of C. diff receiving antibiotics, those being evaluated for MFT, etc.
  • Internal Quality reviews
  • Once the candidate’s reputation among colleagues and Hospital Administration is established (3-5 years), the position can grow to 1.0 FTE which includes Stewardship Administration and Leadership.
  • Call is 1 in 4 to 1 in 6 weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participation in student, resident, and graduate school education.

  • 80-90% inpatient consultation with a general infectious diseases focus including periodic outpatient clinic involvement.
