Join our growing and compassionate team at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana!  We are seeking a patient-focused Pediatric Pulmonologist to collaborate with our highly skilled teams.

A leader in clinical care, teaching, research and advocacy in pediatric respiratory medicine, Riley at IU Health Pulmonology, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is ranked among the top 20 pediatric pulmonology programs in the nation by U.S. News World & Report.  The only pediatric center in Indiana, Riley's program is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.  With 16 beds in two locations, our program includes five board certified sleep medicine physicians, two behavioral sleep psychologists, a team of respiratory therapists and registered polysomnographic technologists. Our numerous, exceptional programs - Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Pulmonary Hypertension, Chronic Ventilation, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Aerodigestive - combine expertise with care coordination to treat complex conditions.  

Job Details: 

  • Full-time position with the majority of clinical work in the outpatient setting
  • Faculty appointment with the IU School of Medicine & academic rank commensurate with qualifications & experience
  • Full benefit coverage from IU Health Physicians & IU School of Medicine

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Direct patient care of pulmonary related deficiencies & sleep abnormalities at Riley Hospital for Children and IU North Hospital
  • Opportunity to teach, train and mentor medical students, pediatric residents and pediatric pulmonary fellows in one of the largest pediatric pulmonary divisions in the country
  • Participate in division & departmental activities & conferences, as well as national & regional association meetings
  • Research in areas of interest
  • Procedures:
    • Pulmonary function testing
    • Bronchoscopy
    • Polysomnograms & other sleep studies
    • Chest radiograph, CT and MRI

Qualifications:

  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics & Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
  • Completion of pediatric residency & pediatric pulmonary/sleep, medicine fellowship
  • Candidate should have a strong commitment to clinical care, education and research
