 Job Description

In Houston, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a Part-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for children and their families and may provide educational trainings for staff.

Job Overview:

  • PART-TIME 20 HOURS A WEEK

  • Conducts psychosocial assessments
     

  • Consults with psychotherapists relating to mutual clients
     

  • Develop treatment plans, which may include psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, hospitalization and medication
     

  • Maintains ongoing communication with school staff
     

  • EHR:EPIC

 Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current valid license to practice medicine in the State of Texas and able to maintain licensure
  • Graduate of a formal accredited medical school 
  • Board certified in Psychiatry with a high level of competency in working with mental health issues, children and adolescents, families and diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic settings preferred 
  • Possess unrestricted DEA certificate; excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a high volume clinic environment
