Description |
A physician joining the Neuroradiology Division of the Department of Radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center as a per diem member of its clinical faculty/attending staff should have appropriate training, experience and ability to perform the invasive diagnostic procedures that are currently considered part of this discipline.
These would include, for example, cerebral angiography, balloon test occlusion, myelography, lumbar puncture, and simple spine procedures, in addition to the training and expertise to protocol and interpret CTs and MRIs of the spine, head & neck, and central nervous system. The individual would have the requisite training and credentials including MD degree, Radiology Residency training with ABR certification/eligibility and Neuroradiology Fellowship training on track toward CAQ certification.
This person must be interested and effective as a teacher: one who is willing and anxious to mentor residents and fellows learning the various aspects of interventional radiology. This person also may participate in formal interventional neuroradiology clinics. This person would have excellent interpersonal skills with patients, trainees, nurses, technologists and referring physicians. He/She would be supportive of the missions and goals of LLUMC.
