Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Hyperbaric, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is developing a noctensivist program to provide 8 pm to 8 am coverage in our Medical Intensive Care Unit at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Our compensation and academic benefits are highly competitive. The candidate will join an academic division that includes faculty at three locations, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda VA Medical Center, and Riverside University Medical Center. Our training program matriculates three pulmonary and critical care fellows per year. Our research and academic interests include high altitude medicine, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ultrasound-guided bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology, critical care ultrasound, sedation management, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, hyperbaric medicine, sepsis, hemodynamic monitoring, critical care procedures, biomarker discovery, ethics and humanities in medicine. We invite applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or above. Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Critical Care Medicine (Internal Medicine). We also welcome candidates with Emergency Medicine background, especially those who are dual-trained in Internal Medicine (CCM/IM/EM). Current skills with endotracheal intubation and central line placement are required. Experience or interest in Hyperbaric Medicine would be highly desirable. This is not a J1 Opportunity. |

| Practice Description : | Loma Linda University Medical Center is a tertiary care, Level 1 trauma center, and academic institution with a 650-bed hospital. The 36-bed MICU is divided in two multidisciplinary teams, including Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows and residents from Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. The 51-bed ED includes approximately 70,000 annual adult and pediatric patient visits with 2,500 ICU admissions. |
