Description |
In Brackettville, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a Part-Time Dentist to provide quality comprehensive oral health services for children and adults of our health center. This position is housed at a new dental clinic expected to open in September/October of 2019. The practice is expected to expand over the next 18 months and this will become a full-time position.

- Candidates must be knowledgeable and proficient in a variety of dental disciplines and their guidelines, techniques, and procedures and able to handle medical emergencies in the dental office.
- Comply with all the policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements affecting our centers, such as State/Federal regulations, TJC standards, DSHS, and Compliance Standards.

Requirements |
Qualifications:
- A current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Texas
- One (1) year of post-graduate training experience preferred
- Ability to organize and deliver dental health care through professional and non-professional staff
- An understanding of the socioeconomic problems of low-income groups
- Ability to establish effective relationships with local health professions and facilities
- Any other duties deemed necessary by the immediate Supervisor and/or CEO
- Must be able to travel and have reliable transportation

The dental practice opportunity is in Kinney County, Texas, with a population of 3,747 residents. The community includes a large retirement community (Fort Clark Springs) with over 1,000 residents, which is located within the city limits of Brackettville, Texas. Our center is the sole health care provider in the entire county, providing primary medical services. The health center is in the process of constructing a dental clinic facility that will adjoin the current medical building. The dental clinic will include three exam rooms and will include new dental equipment. The practice will provide the following services: General cleaning, recall, comprehensive and periodic evaluation, oral surgery, urgent/acute dental care, denture and partial and pediatric dentistry. The practice will be supported by dental hygiene personnel from our clinics in Del Rio and Eagle Pass.
