Duties: Serve as an attending physician on cardiology service in large teaching hospital. Manage in-patient, outpatient and trauma cases including cardiac transplant and congenital heart disease, as needed for efficient, quality patient care. Provide patient care and medical treatment of frequently encountered disorders within the physician’s particular specialty, including LVADs such as HeartMate II and Impella management. Provide didactic and clinical teaching for residents and medical students, including all aspects of the physician’s particular specialty. Actively participate in research activities within the particular specialty department and represent the department at professional and educational conferences.
Education + Experience Requirements: Medical degree; Completion of a 36-month internal medicine residency and a 36-month cardiology fellowship
Special Skills:
• California medical license
• 36-month cardiology fellowship must include rotations in cardiac transplant and congenital heart disease in a tertiary care environment
• Experience with LVADs such as HeartMate II
• Experience with Impella management
• Demonstrated record of reserach and publication
