 Job Description

In San Antonio, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to provide quality, comprehensive out-patient primary health care services to the Center’s OB/GYN patients consulting with supervising physician and abiding by appropriate clinical protocols. Reports to the Lead OB/GYN regarding clinical issues and activities related to the delivery of OB/GYN medical care.

 Job Overview:

  • Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers OB/GYN patients assigned to physician’s panel, on an out-patient basis. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions consulting with supervising physician.  
  • Assures continuity of care by providing medical services on a timely basis as per Clinic schedule within the Center’s scope of practice and the Nurse Practitioners training. 
  • Reviews all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care on a timely basis and makes medical management decisions appropriately. 
  • Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs.

 Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas required
  •  Master’s degree (or equivalent) and Board certification in Women's Health required
  • Post training Women's Health experience required

Verbal and written English and Spanish Bilingual preferred
