Description |
In Houston, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatrician Physician who provides professional, comprehensive pediatric medical care and treatment services to a diverse population of children in a pediatric community health clinic setting.
Job Overview:
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of children’s health issues, and provides counseling and referrals to patients and parents/family members when appropriate.
- Makes recommendations regarding program planning and developing and evaluating local health care systems.
- Chart the growth and development of children and provide immunizations.
- Examine, diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and behavioral problems.
- Orders laboratory, x-ray, and other diagnostic studies as necessary for health care.
- Develops treatment plans and manages child health problems according to Clinic standards.
- Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and other caregivers.
- Consults with Medical Director and other physicians regarding patients with abnormal or unusual medical conditions.
- Provides emergency treatment as needed.
- Provides appropriate information to child and parents/family members regarding diagnoses, treatment, preventions, safety, etc.

Requirements |
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
- Completion of an accredited pediatric residency training program.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas
- Possess valid state of Texas DPS and federal DEA certifications
- Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics or Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics within one (1) year of employment.
- Three to five years experience working independently in a community health setting preferred.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) Preferred
- Must be professionally credentialed.
