 Job Description

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Va., is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible fellowship trained Endocrinologist to join the faculty of the Department of Medicine. The clinic provides full spectrum of adult services, including diabetes, lipid disorders, densitometry, and thyroid ultrasound. Consults are seen at the hospital as needed. Hospitalist and inpatient teaching services handle hospital admissions. Our Diabetic Teaching Center includes on-site education, an insulin pump program, lab testing, and dynamic testing, with extended services such as podiatry and wound care available. Carilion Clinic has a robust internal medicine residency program, teaching opportunities and potential for faculty appointment through its affiliation with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and offers research opportunities through the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute and other affiliations. Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703 bed acute-care academic medical center, functions as the primary referral institution for physicians throughout Southwest Virginia.

Carilion Clinic is the largest not-for-profit integrated health system serving nearly one million people in Southwest Virginia, with 7 hospitals, 220+ physician practice locations, and 25 GME programs. Hospital Overview
