Carilion Clinic, a physician-led, multi-specialty clinic of 750+ physicians located in gorgeous Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a BE/BC Physiatrist to join our growing healthcare system. We have opportunities for experienced leaders and new graduates to work in a community and academic-focused collegial setting with flexibility to meet your professional satisfaction. General Physiatrist: General physiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive rehabilitation care to patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and improving their quality of life. The inpatient physiatrist will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services and lead the treatment team in a 33-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. This role involves delivering high-quality care to patients with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to strokes, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions, and general rehabilitation needs. The physiatrist will employ a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating with other healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized treatment plans that enhance patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life. In addition to the inpatient responsibilities, the physiatrist will also manage an outpatient continuity clinic several half days a week, ensuring seamless and consistent rehabilitation care for patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient settings. The candidate is expected to apply for an academic appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) and will be involved in teaching VTCSOM and visiting medical students and residents in our Graduate Medical Education programs.
