The hospital has increased its ambulatory surgery space to include a Surgical Suite and an Endoscopy and Minor Procedures Suite which provides added space and technology for endoscopic studies and minor surgical procedures, including two procedure rooms and four patient areas for preparation and recovery, offering privacy and convenience to patients.

This position offers an opportunity to teach and mentor medical students as Stephens Memorial Hospital, a member of MaineHealth, the premier healthcare system in Maine, including Maine Medical Center, is a teaching site for the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine rural medicine clerkship program.
