 Job Description

In Tyler, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time OBGYN Physician to provide medical care to adolescent and adult female patients from puberty through pregnancy, childbirth and menopause. 

Job Overview:

  • The OB/GYN will be providing medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders.
  • As appropriate for the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs
  • Physician will be part of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team and is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of PCMH
  • Possesses knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage
  • Call Coverage: will be expected to perform hospital inpatient call coverage during the month on a rotating schedule with our other OBGYN providers
  • EHR: EPIC

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Medical Degree from an accredited school of medicine and completion of approved post- graduate training
  • Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas
  • Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology required

Tyler also has a Cotton Belt Railroad Depot Museum located near the Chamber of Commerce office.

We are a growing clinical practice with locations in Tyler, Athens, and Jacksonville, Texas. FCC is a Level III PCMH recognized practice and through our integrated care model has been able to demonstrate significant improvements in health outcomes for patients. Our Tyler OBGYN clinic is predominately an OB practice with a growing gynecological segment.   Our team of OBGYN physicians treat patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Prenatal care, Family Planning and Title X services are offered, as well as medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders.
