 Job Description

In San Juan, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time School Based Pediatrician to provide diagnostic/treatment to patients.

Overview:

  • Provide preventative and primary medical care for patients at a School Based location
  • Treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds
  • Work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients
  • Physician will supervise midlevel providers as appropriate and participate in organizational performance improvement program
  • EHR: MicroMD
  • 4/1 on call schedule

 Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency program 
  • BLS and CPR certifications 
  • Board certified or Board eligible (with intent to certify) in Pediatrics Required
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions, and current CPR Certification

     

Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred

Will accept new graduates

San Juan is part of the McAllen metropolitan area, which encompasses the cities of McAllen, San Juan, Pharr, and Edinburg. McAllen is the twentieth most populous city in Texas as well as largest city in Hidalgo County. Today the area is one of the fastest growing in the United States.

Recreation: Just an hour and fifteen minutes' drive east is beautiful Port Isabel, Texas, which has miles of beautiful beach for you to enjoy.
