In San Antonio, Texas: The Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a Full Time Bilingual Spanish OB/GYN to provide quality, comprehensive in-patient and/or out-patient (as per individual employment agreements) primary health care services to the Center’s patients.  Reports directly to the Director of OB/GYN regarding clinical issues and activities related to the delivery of medical care.

Job Duties:

• Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician’s panel, on an in-patient and/or out-patient basis (as per individual employment agreements); prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assess medical conditions.
• Maintains the electronic medical record for each patient seen in accordance with the Center’s established Health Information Management policies and procedures to include providing appropriate documentation.  Completes thorough documentation of each patient’s visit in the electronic health record and ensures encounters are closed within 24 hours in accordance with the Center’s established Health Information Management policies and procedures. 
• Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis as per Clinic schedule within the Center’s scope of practice and the provider’s training. 
• Refers clients for appropriate specialty care services, lab and x-ray and any other ancillary services that are appropriate for the patient’s management and care. 
• Reviews all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care on a timely basis and makes medical management decisions appropriately.
• Maintains appropriate productivity standards of specialty as established by the Center; maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow and minimizes schedule changes and absences. 
• The position includes deliveries and surgeries on a rotational basis.
