In Tyler, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide and manage medical care to children from birth through adolescence.
Job Overview:
- Diagnoses illness and injury
- Tracks mental and physical growth and development, consulting with patient or guardian to outline treatment and prevention plans
- Maintains records and charts according to laws and regulations
- The physician is part of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH0 team and is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of PCMH

Requirements |
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy required; completion of postgraduate residency training in pediatric medicine
- 3-5 years experience preferred but not required
- Unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas
- BLS, NRP and PALS
- Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics
Bilingual (Spanish & English) Preferred!

There is also an "Azalea Trail," which are 2 officially designated routes within the city that showcase homes or other landscaped venues adorned with azalea shrubs. Tyler State Park is a few miles away where visitors can camp, canoe, and paddle boat on the lake. Activities include picnicking; camping; boating (motors allowed - 5 mph speed limit); boat rentals; fishing; birding; hiking; mountain biking and hiking trails; lake swimming (in unsupervised swimming area); and nature study. The Smith County Historical Society operates a museum and archives in the old Carnegie Library. The East Texas State Fair is held annually in Tyler. Tyler also has a Cotton Belt Railroad Depot Museum located near the Chamber of Commerce office. |
