 Job Description
Carilion Clinic is searching for an Invasive Cardiologist to expand the scope of services and allow the continued growth of the cardiology services provided at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRV) located in Christiansburg, Virginia. The office practice is located within the hospital and is directly above the new Heart and Vascular Center, which provides close proximity to referring physicians and the cardiology department. CNRV cardiology offers the following services: Stress testing, echocardiography ( TEE and TTE), nuclear studies, cardioversions, tilt table testing, holter and event monitoring, permanent ( and temporary) pacemaker implantation and diagnostic catheterizations. CNRV also has a 64-slice CT and a 3T MRI unit for advanced cardiac imaging. Call coverage is 1:5 and is shared with private practice group.

Qualifications include Board Certification in Cardiology or board eligibility for new graduates. Must possess unencumbered medical license. Newly trained fellows are encouraged to apply.
