 Job Description
Full-time position responsible for providing preventative and primary medical care consistent with community health center setting. Staff Physician must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients. Graduation from an accredited Medical school, completion of approved post-graduate training and an unrestricted Texas medical license required. Ability to be clinically fluent in Spanish preferred.     Practice Description : Community Health Center of Lubbock was founded in 1992 and began serving the people of Lubbock county in 1993. This service area has been designated as a Medically Underserved Area and a Health Professional Shortage Area. The center maintains three service sites and provides services such as health education, nutrition counseling, social services, family planning, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, transportation assistance, laboratory, pharmacy, substance abuse counseling, and mental health counseling.
