Description |
In Alice, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Medicine with OB or OBGYN Physician. New Grads welcome to apply!
Job Overview:
- Functions as a team member of a multi-function disciplinary health care team
- Responsible for provisions of comprehensive primary and preventive
care including OB responsibilities which includes obstetric care, prenatal care, deliveries, post-partum care and OB related surgery
- Provide services for forty (40) hours per week
- Expected to produce the equivalent of 4,200 medical encounters per year,
proportionately prorated (reduced) if physician is working less than 40 hours a week
- Cover for other physicians and treat the patients of those other physicians even when
those patients are not enrolled in the health center as required for retention of hospital privileges
- Follow and abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all federal, state and local laws and ordinances applicable to practice
- Provide supervision of mid-level providers
- Physician and Health Center Manager will develop a schedule of days that the Physician
will be on site to provide patient care and supervision of mid-levels as appropriate

Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine with OB or OBGYN
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Completion of approved post-graduate training
- Current unrestricted Texas Medical license
- Must have current DEA and DPS registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions
*Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required

Alice, Jim Wells County: The center in Alice is divided into the family, women's, dental, and behavioral practice services. The family practice area has two waiting rooms, two reception areas, triage, two nurse's stations, a lab and 13 exam rooms. The women's center has five exam rooms and the dental practice has four operatories. Behavior services are provided in the behaviorist's office. The Pharmacy has its own secure area that provides storage for all medications, a work station for pharmacists/techs, and a private counseling area for patients and pharmacists.
