 Job Description

Maine Medical Partners Orthopedic Trauma & Fracture Care is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in traumatology.  Candidates will join two Orthopedic Trauma surgeons.

Maine Medical Partners Orthopedics is comprised of 2 Trauma and Fracture Care surgeons who are members of Maine Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Program; a surgical team of 6 surgeons within the Joint Replacements Division and the leading team within The Joint Replacement Center at Maine Medical Center; and 2 surgeons in the Sports Medicine Program.

Maine Medical Center is the only hospital in Maine with an organized, 24-hour orthopedic trauma service.   The surgeons at Maine Medical Partners Orthopedic Trauma & Fracture Care are fellowship trained in orthopedic traumatology, and are certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and is an integral part of the Tufts University Medical School.  The successful candidate would have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.

The successful candidate will be employed by Maine Medical Partners (MMP), a subsidiary of Maine Medical Center and Maine’s largest multi-specialty group.  MMP serves the health care needs of patients throughout Maine and Northern New England.  This high quality team of more than 370 physicians and 150 advanced practice professionals provides a wide range of hospital based, primary, specialty, and sub-specialty adult and pediatric care delivered throughout a network of 30 locations across the State and acts as a regional referral network.
