 Job Description

In Brady, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a Full-Time Behavioral Health DirectorThis position also involves the provision of community based integrated behavioral health services: including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders, including mental health and substance use issues, health behaviors (including their contribution to medical illnesses), life stressors and crises, stress-related physical symptoms, and ineffective patterns of health care utilization; psychoeducational techniques aimed at the prevention of such disorders; collaborative care with other healthcare professionals; and consultation to individuals of all ages, couples, families, groups, and organizations.

 Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy required
  • Current Texas LCSW-S, LPC-S, or MFT-S required
  • Minimum of 5 years of behavioral health experience in a medical setting, psychiatric setting, or medical case management required
  • Experience providing counseling / behavioral health services to individuals across the life-span, couples, families, and groups for a wide range of issues required
  • Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or training in play therapy preferred
  • 2 years of behavioral health experience in a medical setting, medical social work, or medical case management preferred
  • Experience with Integrated Behavioral Healthcare in a primary care setting preferred
  • Training in CBT, and trainings in assessment and treatment of: suicidality, substance use disorders, and trauma required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising behavioral health staff and programs required

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required

Facilities at Brady Lake Park include a large covered pavilion, restroom and showers, full and partial RV hook-ups, screened-in cabanas, primitive campsites and numerous picnic areas. Located just north of Brady Lake is the Kenneth Medlock Gun Range, which is the state headquarters for the Texas Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association.
