Carilion Clinic has an opportuntiy available for a Family or Internal Medicine physician to join its busy and thriving outpatient group practice of 3 FP's and 7 IM's located in Martinsville, Virginia. This is an outpatient practice opportunity with admissions covered by the hospitalist group at the local community-owned hospital. The practice physicians provide beeper call from home for practice patients, which is very light, and is shared equally within the group, currently 1:9. Nursing home work is available and optional. Each physician enjoys one half-day off each week with a 4 1/2 day work week.
Teaching opportunities are available to those who desire with the rotation of medical students, interns, residents, and physician extenders (PA/NP) within the practice. Carilion enjoys a 35-year association with the University of Virginia, currently providing primary clinical training for one quarter of UVA's third-year medical students. The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine based in Roanoke, VA also welcomed its inaugural class of 42 students in August 2010.

Minimum Qualifications:
- ABMS/AOA-BC/BE in Family Medicine, with plan in place to sit for Boards
- Eligible for unrestricted Virginia medical license and DEA
